Beautiful new living room with spectacular views in Bethesda

When you have a view as stunning as this you want to be able to enjoy it and this recent installation in Bethesda certainly makes the most of the panoramic vista. The homeowners approached us having seen our Garden Room in Fron Goch Garden Centre and asked us to design, install and project manage this beautiful new living room. The task involved us handling the planning permission and building regulations, undertaking the demolition of the existing PVC conservatory, doing all building works, the design and installation, plus the co-ordination of all suppliers and what a result – the homeowner is delighted as are we!

Fron Goch Garden Centre’s Restaurant Extension

Building on the success of our Garden Room collaboration with Fron Goch Garden Centre, we are now in the process of working with them on an extension for their award winning Restaurant. We’ve designed a single-glazed cover to go over the outdoor patio area which will be used for the restaurant as well as a showcase for Fron Goch’s Outdoor Living department and product demonstrations. We will also have a Peninsula exhibition area which will become a satellite sales centre. Planning approval has been submitted with a view to having the build completed in March in time for the start of the gardening season.

Cooking up a design classic with The Marram Grass

We’ve teamed up with The Marram Grass in Newborough to design and build a unique Studio Pod on-site. The Pod, which will be known as the Peninsula Studio is the first of its type not only on Anglesey but in North Wales and will be used by self-taught and highly acclaimed chef Ellis Barrie as a demonstration kitchen, a private dining room and a classroom for tutorial sessions. Ken Grayson, CEO of Peninsula Home Improvements said; “Liam and Ellis first approached us just for the design and build of the Studio Pod but from working closely with them we’ve built up this relationship and have now taken it further by officially sponsoring it too. The Peninsula Studio is a completely bespoke design which will provide a well-insulated roof, with plenty of light via the cutting edge flat roof lights, that the boys can use as a demo kitchen studio and teaching space all the year round. “In return for our collaboration and sponsorship we will benefit from branding in Ellis’ twice monthly videos promoting seasonal produce and cooking and his indepth cookery lessons. We’ll also have a link to our website from their Youtube videos and references on other social media platforms.” We’re on schedule with the development so the Peninsula Studio will be opening very soon!

A curved conservatory

Most people envisage extensions having straight lines but this conservatory we’re constructing in Bangor will be curved showing that if you have a dream for something we can almost always achieve it! The conservatory will be 4.6m wide with a 2.3m radius. The foundations have been dug and the steelwork has been fabricated so we’re on schedule to have it completed by mid October so you’re your eye out on our blog for an update.

Maximising on spectacular sea views

When you have a spectacular sea view it’s only right that you have an extension that maximises those views from every angle but not just from ground level in the living room but also the Master Suite bedroom so we’re delighted with this recent two-storey glazed construction we’re just about to complete in Red Wharf Bay. The glazed gable is in aluminium offering floor to ceiling windows in the Master Bedroom and French doors from the living room which open out straight on to the beach. This construction also included a new entrance porch and cladding, windows and doors in a sun room.

Sorry this is late coming, but we have meant to tell you for so long how wonderful our Wintergarden is. Solarlux is definitely the "Rolls Royce" of the species! We and everyone who enters therein, are bowled over by the handsome and deluxe nature of the structure. It has added to our life so much space, warmth and light. Everyone who worked on it (in the worst weather) was a true craftsman and took time and effort to make it perfect. We are impressed!! Many thanks, Cathie & Bill
