Sympathetic Stone-clad Orangery

An Orangery adds a new dimension to a home and provides a seamless link between your house and garden, and as the building stones in Wales are varied and reflect the diverse geology of the country, we’re always mindful of ensuring that any installation works with, not against its surroundings. This Orangery is sympathetic to the house and we were at great pains to source similar stone cladding so the end result is that it blends into the home. We fitted Residence 9 Casement Windows which are traditional looking, along with Welsh Slate sills on the interior and exterior. We also fitted a roof lantern to flood this new sitting room with natural light.

Just a short note to thank Peninsula for designing and constructing our new sun room. It has fitted well into the house and looks part of the original building. It is good to see that a local company employs craftsmen who understand all aspects of the building trade and have pride in their workmanship. We can now sit in our new addition with a glass of wine in hand and enjoy the view!
